At the bottom of each form, there are some important command buttons necessary for working with Records. They are the Find Button, the Add Button, the Close Button and the Record Selector:
Find Button - The left button with the binoculars is the Find button. When pressed, this button will bring up the Find dialog box. This is where you can search for any record in the form by entering some related criteria or information. The search criteria applies only to the field the cursor is in when you press the Find button. You can also press Ctrl-F to activate the Find dialog box. Following is the Find dialog box:

Add Button
The Add Button will allow you to enter a new record, or save an edited record. Always use this button when adding a new record while in a Form.
Close Button -
We ask that you always use the Close button when closing forms. This ensures that the designed routines run when the form is being exited, ensuring data integrity. This will not close the current form unless all the required data is entered.
Record Selector
A record is a data entry. For example, a PO, or a Sales Order, or an Invoice line Item. The number shown in the white "Record:" box indicates which record you have currently accessed. The number shown to the right of the arrow buttons indicates the running total of records.
The single arrow buttons
move you through the recordset one record at a time.
The other arrows
move you to the first or last record in the recordset.
The
button creates a new record, adding it to the end of the recordset.
Following is the Record selector:
