Overview | Reports | How To's

This section is for reporting and coordinating Sales Orders and Jobs for Production Reporting and Scheduling. Manage all aspects of your projects, including scheduling, materials, labor estimates and actuals, reporting, and many other features.

The Project Scheduler allows you to manage you jobs more effectively, to schedule them effectively, to evaluate Labor Estimates, to manage your Materials Requirements, and track issues that have happened with jobs over their histories. It consolidates all of this information into one central database, allowing every user and every decision-maker in your organization to have access to this real time data, in order to let them make effective decisions.

In addition to this job set of information, you can also track several different characteristics of a project. You can track pricing information, and you can associate graphic images such as job site pictures or documents with this product or project. You can look at materials history usage. You can enter in your weekly labor supply and do labor capacity planning. This allows you to understand when each labor department is over or under schedule. You can use a pivot table to show you the current status of all labor departments and look at when things have been checked off in your system. This allows you to edit who's been maintaining the job with integrity and correctly.

Key critical data components such as; Purchasing ExpectationsMaterials Planning, Actual Labor vs. Estimates, and Scheduling Updates can all be consolidated and viewed on our production screen. Each job will show you what open purchase orders have not come in when the date is scheduled to come in vs. when your start production date is scheduled.  It will also show you all your current labor in real time, allowing you to dictate and understand what's going on in your shop, without having to go out and ask someone. As soon as someone punches in and out of jobs, this data is available every time you open up the Scheduler.

The Project and Production Scheduling Module is at the heart of the BusinessMaster system. It provides for managing jobs as projects, rather than the traditional accounting based approach that requires managing jobs as parts, and defining a quantity, part number, and price for each thing being built or bought.

In the Projects Module, each project can be broken up into integrated phases. Each phase maintains:

·Production Schedules
·Delivery Schedules
·Materials Lists
·Stock Bills
·Labor Estimates
·Actual Labor Estimates
·Actual Labor Collected
·Actions and Histories
·Job Specifications

This makes it possible to manage the job discretely or indiscreetly. Job costing and profitability analysis can be conducted on the job as a whole, on each phase, and each phase in comparison to one another.
